Central Battery System is an automatic monitoring & self testing system, where the batteries are located in a single location feeding power to all the emergency & Exit lights connected to it. The Central Battery System does not require regular visits to individual lights for its maintenance and failure checks. In case of a power failure, the CBS panel switches ON all the Emergency lights connected to it providing power from the batteries near it. The advantage of using a Central Battery system is that each of the luminaries connected to the panel have a unique address and any Luminaries/ battery/ panel failure is easily noticed to the maintenance team. If required, the batteries in a Central Battery System can be designed for a life of up to10 years.
